Description

The duties of an Animal care practitioner include from the veterinary secretarial support, customer reception, commercial track sales (pharmacy, pet shop), space cleanliness, pet grooming to nursing assistance. Courses cover the spectrum of veterinary medicine to give the student an overall picture of the subject, but with an emphasis on practical applications. Graduates can be occupied in veterinary clinics, pet shops, while they can seek employment in animal associations and veterinary laboratories.

Program aims

The program enables students to:

  1. Understand the basic principles of veterinary science
  2. Generally evaluate the clinical condition of an animal
  3. Handle simple incidents, directed by the veterinarian
  4. Get to know the hygiene and sterilization of space and tools.
  5. Provide first aid.
  6. Communicate with customers – owners and inform them about the animal’s condition.
  7. Manage the basic needs of a veterinary or veterinary clinic (owner reception, animal history, first aid instructions, supplies, examination room and operating room).
