Description

All practical and theoretical knowledge of dental practice, hygiene, administration and organization of the Dentistry is acquired, so that the dental assistant can work with the dentist from the organization of the surgery, to the preparation of the patient and the assistance during treatment.
By acquiring special knowledge, the graduate can undertake the administrative work of the dental clinic, whilst ensuring the preparation of the machinery and materials to be used by the dentist in the performance of dental work. As an Assistant, during the dental examination and practice he participates in the procedures, following the instructions of the dentist. He is also responsible for public relations at the dental office, customer information, telephone communication and supplies. More specifically, it specializes in preparing the dental clinic, controlling the operation of the machines and preparing the tools. He can also work with other specialties in child-adolescent care centers in educational units for information, presentation and implementation of oral hygiene and care programs.
