Description

Through this program we strive to preserve both the theoretical and the practical elements of the Orthodox Religion and Theology studies. The students of the program approach the basic concepts of Orthodox faith and the arts related to the ecclesiastical space, such as architecture, iconography, hagiography, hierarchical, Byzantine music, liturgical and pastoral life in both a theoretical and practical way. Furthermore, through various subjects, such as hagiology, patriarchal secretariat, Holy Scripture, religious tourism, the administrative structure of Church, as well as acquaintance with the ecclesiastical discourse our students enhance their skills.

Program aims

Graduates of the program are specialized in:

  • The basic principles of Orthodox doctrine
  • The administrative structure of the Orthodox Church
  • Recognizing the peculiarities of religious terminology
  • The skills needed to develop interpersonal relationships within the parish
  • Familiarization with the worshipful acts of the Orthodox Church
